LabVIEW Software Engineer
PGS Worldwide is seeking a LabVIEW Software Engineer in Sunnyvale, CA for a one-year contract role supporting Northrop Grumman.
The LabVIEW Software Engineer will develop automated test software, data acquisition tools, reporting utilities, and test stand software for production FAT testing.
Required Skills:
- 2–5 years of related software, test software, or automated test development experience.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience developing test software using LabVIEW.
- NI Certified LabVIEW Developer certification required.
- Familiarity with PLC ladder logic programming.
- Familiarity with communication protocols, including EtherNet/IP and Modbus.
- Experience developing data acquisition software or tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot test software issues.
- Ability to support software maintenance, upgrades, and future development.
- Ability to develop user manuals, training materials, and technical documentation.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams on data acquisition hardware and software requirements.
- Ability to follow software standards and development practices.
Preferred Skills:
- 5+ years of LabVIEW test software development experience.
- NI Certified LabVIEW Architect certification.
- Allen Bradley PLC ladder logic programming experience.
- EtherNet/IP and Modbus experience.
- NI PXI platform experience.
- Automated test development experience.
- Experience supporting FAT testing, test stand software, data acquisition systems, statistical analysis, and automated report generation.
What You'll Do:
- Design and develop LabVIEW-based data acquisition software.
- Support production FAT testing for products and programs.
- Develop tools for test preparation, post-test data analysis, issue tracking, and performance metrics.
- Create automated reports and statistical trend analysis tools.
- Troubleshoot and maintain test stand software.
- Develop training curriculum and materials for LabVIEW software programming, coding standards, and architectures.
- Lead or support LabVIEW programming for test stand software.
- Collaborate with team members to define data acquisition hardware and software requirements.
- Program PLC ladder logic, including Allen Bradley PLCs as needed.
Work Schedule / Shift:
- 9x80 A schedule.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Onsite role.
Pay:
- $118.25/hour
