Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of clinical nursing experience License: Active Ohio RN license Certifications: BCLS and IV certification Must-Have: EPIC experience preferred Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills Travel experience is a plus Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the Progressive Care Unit on the night shift. Key responsibilities include starting and managing IVs. Administering medications safely is essential. Monitoring vitals and patient responses is required. Educating patients on treatments and self-care is part of the role. Collaboration with the care team on patient plans is necessary. Utilizing electronic medical records for charting is expected. Floating to lower acuity units may be required. Following hospital policies and maintaining patient safety is crucial. Most patient diagnoses involve various general medicine issues. Staff will provide interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy and respiratory services. The unit contains transitional beds for care provision. Candidates must be aware of compliance deadlines for credentialing processes. All candidates must complete a background check process promptly after contract signing.
