Health Office Clerk - Substitute

The Health Office Clerk Substitute provides health office and clerical support in the elementary or middle school setting. The substitute assists students who are ill or injured, contacts parents or guardians, administers authorized medications, maintains health office records, and supports staff with clerical duties. Essential duties include providing basic first aid and comfort measures according to district procedures, monitoring students who are ill, injured, resting, or waiting to be picked up, contacting parents or guardians regarding student illness or injury, administering and documenting authorized medications after completing required training, following student health plans, emergency procedures, and directions from the Licensed School Nurse or building administrator, documenting health office visits, injuries, medications, and parent contacts, maintaining confidential student records and an organized health office, assisting teachers and building staff with clerical tasks when health office responsibilities permit, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when additional assistance is needed, and performing other related duties as assigned. Rate of pay: $16.86/hr.
