Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of adult and geriatric patients, utilizing history-taking and physical examinations to establish accurate diagnoses.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, considering both acute and chronic health issues.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as ECGs, and echocardiograms, as well as therapeutic procedures within your scope of practice.
• Prescribe medications and monitor treatment regimens to optimize patient health outcomes.
• Ensure timely and accurate patient documentation including billing and medical records, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and collaborative discussions to enhance the quality of care delivered within the cardiology department.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve adult and geriatric patients, many of whom present with complex cardiac conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease. Your focus will be on providing comprehensive care that respects the needs and preferences of our diverse patient population, ensuring a holistic approach to heart health.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active Nurse Practitioner license with authority to practice in New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, ideally in cardiology or related specialties.
• Strong expertise in patient assessment, cardiac disease diagnosis, treatment plans, and management.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Compensation and Benefits
