Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health histories and perform detailed physical examinations to assess and diagnose patients experiencing pain.
• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive pain management treatment plans that include both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches.
• Educate patients about pain management therapies, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment regimens and discussing potential medication side effects.
• Administer appropriate treatments, such as nerve blocks, spinal injections, and pain pumps to improve patient comfort levels.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure efficient and effective patient care pathways.
• Utilize strong clinical assessment skills to evaluate complex pain disorders, tailoring interventions to meet individual patient needs.
• Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on patient feedback and progress, fostering a dynamic and responsive care model.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including treatment outcomes and patient interactions, ensuring high standards of care are upheld.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily work with patients experiencing a wide range of pain disorders, including but not limited to musculoskeletal pain, post-surgical pain, and neuropathic pain. Our diverse client base requires culturally competent care, with a strong emphasis on listening to patient preferences and values. Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) is required, focusing on Family Practice or Pain Management.
• Possession of a valid and active New York State Nurse Practitioner license.

Compensation and Benefits
