HVAC Service Technician

Job Summary

AppleOne is hiring for an experienced HVAC Service Technician supporting commercial HVAC repair and possible installation work throughout the Tampa Bay area. This role is ideal for a skilled field technician with strong HVAC/R knowledge who enjoys troubleshooting mechanical equipment, working directly with customers, and providing reliable repair solutions.

This position offers steady commercial service work, a company vehicle, and the opportunity to continue building a long-term career in the mechanical trades. Technicians can expect support from leadership and account managers who are actively involved on job sites and committed to helping customers resolve equipment issues efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and service commercial HVAC and mechanical equipment in the Tampa Bay area.
- Support commercial HVAC installations as needed based on project and customer requirements.
- Evaluate equipment issues in the field and recommend practical, effective repair solutions.
- Communicate professionally with customers, account managers, and field team members regarding service needs and job status.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and follow applicable safety, quality, and union work standards.
- Operate a company vehicle while traveling to local commercial service locations.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $38 to $43 per hour.
- Must be willing to join the local union, and be in good standing with union
- Local Tampa Bay area service territory.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Perform commercial HVAC service, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Support possible HVAC installation work on commercial job sites.
- Diagnose mechanical equipment issues and provide customer-focused solutions.
- Work closely with account managers and field teams to complete service calls efficiently.

- 5 or more years of HVAC service experience required.
- Prior knowledge of HVAC/R and/or plumbing fields required.
- Must be part of or willing to join the local union.
- Must live locally in the Tampa Bay area.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical equipment problems in the field.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal team members.
- Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work independently across local commercial job sites.

Preferred Qualifications

- Commercial HVAC/R service experience in office, retail, industrial, institutional, or similar facilities.
- Experience supporting both HVAC repairs and installations.
- Familiarity with plumbing-related mechanical systems.
- Prior experience working in a union environment.
