Position Overview

The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing front desk operations during overnight hours while ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and daily reporting. This role combines guest service responsibilities with accounting duties to support smooth hotel operations and a secure, welcoming environment. This role is responsible for managing reservations, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming and professional environment that reflects VIVÂMEE Hospitality Culture of Excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet late-arriving guests and complete check-in/check-out processes efficiently
• Perform nightly audit of all hotel transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Reconcile daily revenue, room charges, and payments
• Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports
• Balance cash drawers and verify credit card transactions
• Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns during overnight hours
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff
• Monitor hotel activity and enforce policies during the night shift
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for early departures or special requests
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area
• Communicate all pertinent information and issues to the morning team
• Uphold company service standards and brand expectations

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Basic accounting and math proficiency required
• Comfortable using computers and financial/reporting systems
• Ability to remain alert and professional during overnight shifts

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Previous front desk, night audit, or hospitality experience preferred
• Experience with MEWS property management systems (PMS) and auditing tools is a plus
