Education Specialist, Public Programmes (Temp)

Job Responsibilities Support the museum with daily operations including welcoming school and corporate groups and public visitors. Perform shift responsibilities, including weekends and public holidays and is accountable to the Assistant Manager/Manager for the smooth running of the day-to-day shift operations. Work closely with the Programmes Team on delivering educational offers such as tours, workshops, online programmes and events to schools and the public. Engage with the Museum’s visitors in a positive and professional manner, inspire and inform visitors of exhibitions and galleries within the Museum. Always provide excellent customer service to school groups and public visitors. Project a professional impression of the Museum always both verbally and in appearance. Be fully knowledgeable on all Standard Operating Procedures & all exhibitions relevant to the Museum. Liaise with the Assistant Manager/Manager on daily and weekly roster patterns. (Weekends & Public Holidays will be included) Assist with administrative processes, but not limited to updating websites, attending to enquiries. Take stock of all inventories needed to run and execute our educational programmes. Take on any other duties within the Museum, as the business requires. Job Requirements Education & Certification Minimum certificate or Diploma in Tourism/Hospitality/Arts Management/Art Education preferred or equivalent. Experience Minimum 1 year of working experience in hospitality and tourism, education or arts and culture industry.
