Forklift Driver

Material Transfer RoleThis role is responsible for moving raw materials and finished product between the production areas, storage and docks using a riding pallet jack or forklift.Job ResponsibilitiesTransfer raw materials from storage to production using a riding pallet jack or forklift.Transfer finished products from the production line to freezer.Offload delivered raw materials and other supplies to storage area; organize according to facility specifications.Stack and organize pallets and maintain a clean working area.Remove empty combos and garbage pallets from department.Complies with facility and organizational policies governing workplace conduct, workplace safety, food safety, good manufacturing practices and any other operational policies as established.This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.Perform other duties as assigned.Experience & Skills0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred.Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.Ability to follow verbal instructions with accuracyEducationHigh School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.Work EnvironmentWork can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).Work conditions are typical of an office & plant environment.Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds.Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Greater than 4 hours.Preferred Technical ContributorExpertEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
