• Position Type: Contract (Travel Nursing)
• Contract Duration: 3 months (through 2/27 end date)
• Pay Rate: $61.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Nights; 18:45-07:15 (3×12 hours); 36 or 48 hours per week can be supported; 4 weekend days required in a 6-week time track
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Cardiac Telemetry travel nursing position on a night-shift unit. Patients on this unit may present with various conditions requiring telemetry monitoring, including chest pain, arrhythmias, pacemaker management, or defibrillator management. The care team works in collaboration with a heart failure navigator.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring, including those with chest pain, arrhythmias, pacemaker, or defibrillator needs
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Administer and manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Heparin
• Collaborate with a heart failure navigator as part of the care team
• Float to other telemetry units as required
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5-6

Required Skills

• Telemetry proficiency
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Comfort with cardiac drips including Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Amiodarone, Lasix, and Heparin
• Proficiency with unit systems: Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR

Education Requirements

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Required
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) - Required
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Unit will accept first-time travelers
• Local candidates accepted

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Night shift: 18:45-07:15 (3×12-hour shifts)
• 36 or 48 hours per week can be supported
• Float requirement: Yes - to other telemetry units
• Weekend requirement: 4 weekend days in a 6-week time track
• Scrubs: Not provided - Navy
• Unit orientation: 36 hours

Important Notes

• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
• RTO (Return to Origin) after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite
• Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in contract cancellation and DNR (Do Not Rehire)
