Exciting Locum Opportunity: Medical Oncologist Needed in a Dynamic Healthcare Setting

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Oncologist to join a respected regional medical center as a locum tenens provider. Opportunity Highlights

• Engage in a clinically stimulating role with a focus on both benign hematology (65%) and malignant oncology (35%).
• Flexible start date with coverage needed starting July 1st, 2026, and extending beyond December 2026.

• Participate in a supportive call rotation every 5th or 6th weekend, from Friday evening to Monday morning.

Practice Setting and Clinical Scope

Join a free-standing cancer center renowned for its comprehensive oncology and hematology services. You will work alongside seven fellow physicians and six Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in a collaborative, team-based environment. This role involves outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, with an average of 25 patients per day in the outpatient setting and 20 during hospital rounds. The practice is supported by a nurse oncologist for chemotherapy administration and utilizes the EPIC EMR system for streamlined documentation and coordination of care.

Schedule and Assignment Details

This locum assignment requires a commitment of at least two weeks per month, allowing for work-life integration. The ideal candidate will be open to participating in both outpatient and inpatient care, with separate teams handling each setting on any given day. The credentialing process is estimated at 60 days, ensuring a smooth transition into this dynamic role.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology.
