Emergency Veterinarian - Maryland

Overview Pet+ER, located in Hunt Valley, MD, seeks an experienced Emergency Veterinarian (internship trained or 2+ years in emergency care) to join our newly opened facility. The role involves providing 24‑hour emergency and critical care services for a comprehensive range of animal injuries and illnesses. Responsibilities Deliver round‑the‑clock emergency care, including triage, diagnostics, and treatment of severe cases. Perform emergency surgical procedures within a state‑of‑the‑art setting. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of hospital protocols. Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) with valid license to practice in MD. Minimum 2 years of emergency care experience, inclusive of surgical exposure. Internship trained in or equivalent to 2+ years in emergency services. Proficiency in digital radiology, in‑house diagnostics, ICU care, and use of surgical instruments such as Ligasure. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a high‑pressure environment. Benefits & Compensation Base salary range: $140,000 to $185,000. ProSal compensation model with potential earnings of $200,000 to $270,000. No negative accrual. Relocation stipend and potential signing bonus for eligible candidates.
