Senior Bridge Engineer

to join our expanding transportation team in

Wilmington, MA . This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design, rehabilitation, and inspection of complex bridge structures while mentoring staff and helping grow our bridge engineering practice throughout the Northeast.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, analysis, design, and rehabilitation of highway and railroad bridge projects.

Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and quality control efforts.

Prepare and review structural calculations, plans, specifications, and engineering reports.

Serve as a technical resource and mentor for junior engineers and designers.

Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Support bridge inspections, condition assessments, and load rating analyses.

Participate in business development, proposal preparation, and client presentations.

Ensure compliance with MassDOT, AASHTO, and applicable design standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis; Master's degree preferred.

Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

10+ years of bridge engineering experience.

Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, and prestressed concrete bridge design.

Experience with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and bridge rehabilitation practices.

Proficiency with structural analysis and bridge design software.

Experience managing multidisciplinary transportation projects.

Prior experience working with MassDOT, MBTA, municipalities, or other public agencies preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.
