Supply Chain Coordinator

Job Summary The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for receiving, stocking, and distributing materials and supplies to designated areas. They maintain awareness of all equipment in use and available to best serve the needs of the patient and department. Job Duties Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. Manages requisitions, shelves, and distributes medical and linen supplies to patient care areas from the general storeroom, linen room, and bulk room distribution areas. (30%) Utilizes PeopleSoft Mobile Supply Chain for receiving, cycle counts, inventory control, par level, and replenishment of stock inventory to various locations, and communicates with customers professionally and courteously. (30%) Assures that all supply/linen rooms, par level carts, orders, and exchange carts meet established quotas both qualitatively and quantitatively. (20%) Maintains and restocks supply/linen areas, storeroom, and bulk room for cleanliness and expiration dates using the established cleaning schedule and expired/damaged product inspection logs. (20%) Maintains files such as delivery documents, property tag log, and returned goods log. (15%) Demonstrates the ability to safeguard patient information, ensure privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations, communicate tactfully with patients, family members, visitors and staff, and adapt to fluctuating situations professionally. (5%) May use material handling devices such as pallet jacks and furniture movers. Responds to phone, beeper, walk-in, loading dock, and delivers supplies in a timely manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques. Knowledge of inventory management strategies, practices, and tools for local or distributed inventories of finished goods. Knowledge of a specific procurement system and related tools. General computer competencies, including use of personal computers or workstations. Office administration knowledge and the ability to carry out ongoing tasks efficiently. Service excellence, with an ability to meet or exceed customer needs and provide excellent service. Physical Demands Lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Frequent sitting and standing, frequent keyboard use. Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role, including kneeling, bending, squatting, and performing CPR.
