Location is Hybrid in Baltimore, MD. The start date is ASAP for this 4-month contract position.

Job Title: Financial Business Operations Specialist Location-Type: Hybrid Baltimore, MD (MondayThursday onsite) Start Date Is: ASAP Duration: (contract, perm, etc): 4-month contract, with potential for extension Compensation Range: $33$37/hr W2 Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, 401K Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Job Description:

• Review financial recommendations, transactions, and daily operational processes to identify discrepancies and exceptions.
• Investigate operational issues, determine root causes, and coordinate with internal teams to drive resolution.
• Manage time-sensitive and urgent issues while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate recurring operational processes.
• Build and maintain Excel macros to streamline daily workflows and reduce manual effort.
• Communicate issues, findings, and recommendations clearly to internal stakeholders.
• Partner cross-functionally with Middle Office, Risk, and Control teams.
• Support ongoing process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced financial operations environment.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in financial operations, business operations, or a related field.
• Advanced Excel skills, including hands-on experience creating macros and workflow automation.
• Experience investigating exceptions, discrepancies, or operational issues and determining root causes.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage urgent, time-sensitive issues accurately and efficiently.
• Self-starter who is curious, independent, proactive, and comfortable asking questions.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
• Ability to work onsite in Baltimore, MD Monday through Thursday.
