Your Responsibilities

• Carrying out thorough patient assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and developing individualized care plans
• Both diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in cooperation with physicians or independently, depending on your credentials
• Educating patients and families about prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
• Prescribing necessary medications and therapies within your scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and managing chronic conditions
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care
• Accurately documenting all procedures within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Summary

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certification Requirements

• Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Arkansas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
