ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Transcribe medical provider orders and obtain requested medical information pertaining to clients. Complete medication administration ensuring accurate prescribed dosage and timely delivery, educate clients in management of side effects, and assist preauthorization of prescriptions/medications from pharmacy. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, according to established standards for nursing practice. Manage a caseload of clients receiving only medication services, when required. Maintain treatment planning and case reviews to determine medical treatment, including after‑care plans for clients completing treatment. Attend and participate in staff meetings, treatment planning sessions, case conferences, supervisory meetings, and clinical seminars, providing information relating to medical care of the client. Conduct case consultations with other agencies regarding programs and services offered, when requested. Ensure adequate laboratory supplies, medical equipment, and medications are available to meet service demands and replenish stock on a timely basis. Administer pregnancy tests and drug screens on clients and document results as needed. Monitor medical equipment and testing per CLIA standards. Conduct emergency evaluations of high‑risk clients to determine level of treatment indicated and arrange for hospitalization, as needed. Provide supervision, as requested, to LPN, MA, and CNA team members. Manage the medical clinics to maximize efficiency and create a positive experience for clients. EDUCATION Kentucky Registered Nursing license. Graduate of an ADN, BSN, MSN program. EXPERIENCE One year of Registered Nurse experience for all inpatient program. Graduation of an Accredited program. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS Position has some unusual physical demands, including occasional exposure to threat of bodily harm from clients and their families.
