About the Role

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to support its Communications and Public Relations organization. This is a newly created position designed to bring project coordination and execution in-house rather than relying on external agencies. The Project Manager will partner closely with communications leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

This role is ideal for a communications-focused project manager who excels at stakeholder management, organization, and driving multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of communications and public relations projects from initiation through completion.
• Coordinate internal teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure successful project execution.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and risks while ensuring projects remain on track.
• Facilitate project meetings, gather requirements, and document key decisions and action items.
• Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and proactively resolve issues.
• Manage project changes, priorities, and competing deadlines.
• Create and maintain project documentation, process maps, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
• Build strong working relationships across communications, marketing, and business teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Partner closely with the Communications leadership team, spending approximately 50% of your time supporting key communications initiatives.
• Coordinate projects across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Facilitate communication between project sponsors, team members, and business partners.
• Ensure deliverables are completed according to agreed-upon timelines and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional project management experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience developing project plans, tracking deliverables, and managing timelines.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience supporting communications, public relations, marketing, or corporate communications teams.
• Background as a Communications Specialist, Communications Coordinator, or related role.
• Experience working in financial services or large corporate environments.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices.
