• Shift: 24 hours / 7a - 7a (hospital-based)
• Hours/Week: Varies (approximately 4-7 shifts per month)
• Employment Type: Locum / Temporary
• Licensure/Certifications: KY Medical License, Board Certification in Surgery (if applicable)
• Experience Required: Heavy cardiac focus, thoracic experience preferred

What You ll Do:

• Perform adult cardiac surgeries, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and redo cases.
• Conduct general thoracic procedures such as tube thoracostomy, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy, and lung biopsies.
• Manage ICU patients with high-risk cases, including Impella support and critical medical management.
• Support Structural Heart procedures in hybrid OR or cath lab settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document procedures accurately using EPIC EMR system.
• Participate in 24-hour call rotations as scheduled.

What You Need:
Required:

• Medical license in Kentucky or eligible for licensure
• Proven experience in adult cardiac surgery and thoracic procedures
• Ability to work independently in a hospital setting

Preferred:

• Experience with ICU management of high-risk patients
• Familiarity with hybrid OR procedures and EPIC EMR system
