Acute Care Telemetry Technician

Join a dedicated healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as an Acute Care Telemetry Technician. This role involves continuous cardiac monitoring of patients, recognizing and reporting rhythm changes and potentially life-threatening arrhythmias to the nursing staff following established protocols.

As a Telemetry Technician, you will be responsible for the accurate observation, documentation, and interpretation of cardiac rhythms. You will operate and troubleshoot monitoring equipment, respond promptly to alarms, and maintain clear communication in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor patient cardiac rhythms and physiological parameters.
• Identify and report rhythm abnormalities to Registered Nurses.
• Operate telemetry monitoring equipment and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient monitoring and communications.
• Support team efforts by adapting to changes and fostering positive relationships.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Telemetry Technician or ECG interpretation course preferred.
• One to two years of experience in a patient care setting preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
• Telemetry Technician experience is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in ECG rhythm interpretation with the ability to pass certification exams.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment
