Why This Job – HR Manager We’ve partnered with a long-standing client to help them find an experienced HR Manager who wants more than just maintaining policies and processing paperwork. This is a newly expanded role created to help support a growing organization following a recent acquisition and build scalable HR infrastructure for the future. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, solving people-related challenges, and helping shape company culture. The team is looking for someone who can serve as a true business partner to leadership while building programs, processes, and systems that support long-term growth. What You’ll Actually Do Serve as the HR resource for leadership and employees across a multi-state organization. Lead employee relations, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, and organizational development initiatives. Support administration and interpretation of multiple union agreements while partnering with leadership on labor-related matters. Develop and improve HR policies, procedures, training programs, and performance review processes. Help drive company culture, employee engagement, leadership development, and workforce planning initiatives. Partner with management on hiring strategies, talent acquisition efforts, and succession planning. Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, benefits administration, and employee training requirements. Participate in and help direct multiple union relationships and negotiations What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or related field preferred but not required. Approximately 8-10+ years of HR experience with the ability to make decisions quickly. Experience within manufacturing, industrial, mining or other operational environments is preferred. Strong employee relations experience with the ability to navigate complex personnel situations. Union experience is a plus but not required. Someone who is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable helping build programs and processes from the ground up. Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Where and How Much $85-95k DOE + discretionary bonus Remote role based in Billings with Travel to Dillon, MT 1 week/month Additional travel approximately 6-8 times per year to operating locations throughout the United States.
