Adjunct Instructor - Biology - SUNY Orange

Job Description: SUNY Orange’s Biology department is seeking Adjunct Instructors to teach Introduction to Biology (BIO 110), an introductory course (2 lectures, 3 lab sessions, 3 credits). The course covers the scientific method, basic chemistry, cell biology, structure and function of the vertebrate body, cellular division, and genetics. It is designed for students with little or no academic background in the biological sciences who wish to pursue careers in health professions or biology. The course is taught on both our Middletown and Newburgh campuses during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, with day and evening sections available. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in the educational field and/or health professions and a passion for teaching. Familiarity with Brightspace or a similar instructional platform is an additional asset. Requirements: Education Required: Master’s Degree in Biology or related fields. Familiar with Brightspace or similar instructional platforms. Teaching experience. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
