Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An interim Pharmacist-in-Charge/Director of Pharmacy position is available at a small, 25-bed critical access hospital located in rural Northern California. This contract opportunity offers approximately 13 weeks of work, with a start date as soon as possible.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour day shifts per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily pharmacy operations with a focus on order verification and supervision of pharmacy technicians
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to provide expert pharmaceutical consultations
• Perform pharmacokinetic evaluations and other clinical pharmacy services as needed
• Oversee staffing, covering approximately 90% of duties, with administrative responsibilities comprising the remaining 10%

Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist license required
• Previous experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting is essential
• Proven skills in pharmacy management and clinical consultation
