Orientation and Mobility Specialist in Sanford, FL

Inspire students and make a genuine impact as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist working on-site in the vibrant communities near Sanford, FL. This contract engagement begins August 10, 2026 and runs through May 25, 2027, offering a unique opportunity to provide direct therapy to K-12 students across multiple campuses. You'll focus primarily on compensatory services, with the potential to contribute your expertise for evaluations as needed.

What You'll Bring:

• National Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist licensure
• Vision certification required for this position
• Valid driver's license and social security card
• Physical copy of professional license (web printouts not accepted)
• Ability to complete required credentialing, including fingerprinting (Form 1403 & Field Print receipt), demographic form, and I9 (sections 1 and 2)
• Previous experience supporting students in K-12 settings is highly valued
• A passion for helping young people achieve greater independence

What You'll Do:

• Deliver direct orientation and mobility therapy to students across various schools
• Provide compensatory services and participate in student evaluations as needed
• Collaborate with school personnel, families, and related service providers to design effective strategies for student success
• Travel between schools within Oviedo/Sanford areas as assigned
