In this contract role, you'll be working closely with a 1st grade student who benefits from daily encouragement and gentle behavioral guidance—helping them follow teacher instructions and stay engaged with their peers. You'll find fulfillment in making a direct impact during the school day within a nurturing environment serving students from grades 1 through 4.

Your schedule is consistent, running from 8:20 a.m. to 3:10 p.m., Monday through Friday—providing a healthy work-life balance. This position does not require assisting with toileting or bus riding, allowing you to focus your skills on classroom support and positive behavior reinforcement.

What you'll bring:

• Prior experience working as a paraprofessional, especially with early elementary grades
• Confidence supporting students with behavioral needs or developmental differences
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability in dynamic classroom settings
• Commitment to quickly completing all pre-employment credentialing, including fingerprinting and drug screening
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with teachers and staff

Your role will include:

• Providing day-to-day guidance and support for the assigned student based on specific behavioral goals
• Encouraging participation in classroom activities and peer interactions
• Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive, and orderly classroom atmosphere
• Collaborating closely with teachers and specialists to reinforce learning objectives and behavioral expectations
