Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring a minimum of 2 years of MS/Tele experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Patient care involves telemetry monitoring, pacemaker management, IV insulin protocols, and Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI)
• Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities within the area
• Charting performed in Epic
• Block scheduling requests are not accommodated
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) — no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, and a completed EKG/Telemetry course required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• Experience with pacemakers, IV insulin protocols, and Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI) required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Valid driver's license or state-issued ID and a utility bill in the candidate's name with a matching address dated within the last 3 months required for consideration
• 2 supervisory references required for consideration
• Copies of certifications required for consideration
• Candidate's permanent address must be greater than 75 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer per 13-week assignment; no holiday or blackout dates may be requested
• Local candidates are not accepted — permanent address must be outside a 75-mile radius from the facility
