This position requires strong discipline, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy when managing specialized work efficiently and completing tasks on time. You take a careful, methodical approach to work and demonstrate confidence, competence, and a strong sense of responsibility.Responsible for processing heat treatment coupons on a regular basisPerform skilled inspections, work with exact tolerances, and inspect all castings and outside machined parts used in the production of company productsSupport the entire company distribution system with receiving inspection planning support including:Develop and maintain receiving inspection plans for all purchased finished components or servicesProvide hands-on training in the use of inspection gauging, plans, and reporting techniques as requiredIdentify, justify, and purchase appropriate gauging to support inspection plansExecute the quality function for the non-conforming material review process for both purchased and internally assembled componentsDocument inspection results and maintain quality department recordsConduct functional tests on material as requiredKeep work area clean and orderlyOther duties as assignedYour Experiences & SkillsMinimum four (4) years as an inspector for a manufacturing company or current Muncie Power Products employee who qualifies through testingBasic blueprint and geometric drawing and tolerance skills to interpret drawingsBasic inspection skills with hand gauging instrumentsBasic machining knowledge of part fixtures and work holdingSkill and knowledge of all types of inspection equipmentAbility to utilize personal computers to run software programsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to document problem-solving effortsEffectively able to present information in one-on-one and small-group situationsSelf-motivated with a strong desire to succeedBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance, and zero cardLife, death, dismemberment, and dependent insurancesPrescription drug programsTelehealthShort-term and long-term disability, and flexible leaves of absenceEmployee assistance programs401k (match 50% on the first 6% of deferred compensation) and flexible spending plansThree (3) weeks of paid time offNine (9) paid holidaysWellness and EngagementLocation: Tulsa, OKDepartment: QualityWork Environment: Manufacturing/WarehouseReports To: Corporate Quality ManagerShift Type: Monday–Friday (5-8s)Workplace Arrangement: On-siteSupervises: NoSalary Grade: 13To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
