You will build a career that you are proud of, at a company you can believe in.Ferguson is currently seeking a Shipping Manager to join our Appleton, WI warehouse!Responsibilities:Supervise a team of 9+ warehouse associates working a 1st shift schedule beginning at 7:30AMResponsible to assist drivers loading trucks for 1st and 2nd runs potentially in temperamental elementsEnsure warehouse space is used effectively and kept clean and orderlyMaintain and develop a productive warehouse by hiring, training, and providing professional development for all of its associatesSupervise, coordinate, and participate in unloading and stocking of inbound shipments and the picking and shipping of outbound orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with both product and paperworkMaintain security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to branch managementResponsible for assisting warehouse associates with picking processMust adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbsQualifications:A strong background in Warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is required2+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experienceProficient in OSHA and DOT regulationsWarehouse Management Systems, Highjump, Dispatch Track software experience preferred but willing to teach the right candidateProficient with all Microsoft Applications requiredA strong attention to detail, leadership and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelinesPhenomenal communication skills and the ability and desire to manage a teamAt Ferguson, we care for each other.
