Project Executive

A nationally recognized construction organization is conducting a confidential search for a senior-level Project Executive to provide executive oversight on a large, complex civil infrastructure project in the New York metro area. About the Role The Project Executive will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and execution of a high-profile civil construction project from early planning through completion. This role requires extensive experience managing complex public infrastructure work, strong financial and risk controls, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in an urban environment. Responsibilities Provide executive leadership and oversight for all phases of a major civil construction project Direct and support project management teams to meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety goals Serve as a senior liaison among ownership, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders Monitor project performance, cost controls, risk exposure, and compliance requirements Oversee procurement strategies, contract administration, and change management Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards Proactively identify and resolve project challenges and conflicts Support project closeout activities and post-project evaluations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field 20+ years of senior‑level experience on large‑scale civil infrastructure projects Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred Strong background in public‑sector or complex urban construction projects Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, cost control, and contract management Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills Ability to manage high‑pressure situations and multiple priorities #J-18808-Ljbffr The Fordy Group
