What You Will Enjoy Doing

Main Responsibilities:

• Setup, operate, maintain, troubleshoot multiple types of packaging equipment. Equipment may include, but is not limited to:
• carton erectors
• partition inserters
• product inserters (MPV, VPM, PLU)
• foil dispensers
• top closers
• palletization equipment
• Manual responsibilities include:
• loading, building and make boxes
• hand packaging of bottles
• loading labels
• Maintenance includes:
• perform routine cleaning, and minor maintenance of equipment to ensure smooth operations
• Material Handling:
• Loading/unloading packaging materials such as corrugate, containers or other raw materials
• Documentation:
• accurately document records of finished goods, packaging specifications, or any visual quality checks
• perform changeovers of divers packaging equipment (eg case erector, partition inserter, top sealer, )
• applies correct labels
• perform quality check consisting of visual inspection of overall product, labels and packaging integrity for defects
• Housekeeping

Education/Experience:

• high school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred

Additional Requirements:

• capable of lifting 55 pounds and to stand for a minimum of 12 hours
• able to work with multiple types of equipment simultaneously
• high cleanliness standards for the machines and work area

Physical Demands:

• the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, push and pull, reach with hands and arms and very occasionally to climb or balance.
• the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• the employee is occasionally required to sit.
• the employee must regularly lift and/ or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 38 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move or push /pull up to 55 lbs.
• specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
