As a Compliance Officer III within BSAS QAAL, you oversee regulatory compliance for licensed addiction treatment programs and counselors. You will lead investigations, gather evidence, and prepare formal reports, helping ensure adherence to laws and contract requirements. You'll train staff on complaint handling, maintain the complaint data system, and collaborate across agencies. This role involves statewide travel and occasional evening/weekend work, with a mission to strengthen compliance and protect public health.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inspection activities to ensure compliance with laws, rules, and policies
• Monitor licensed providers' activities and services through observation and interviews
• Review complaints and related documentation to determine appropriate actions
• Respond to inquiries regarding agency policies and regulations
• Determine procedures for collecting information and evidence in investigations
• Conduct on-site visits to assess non-compliance and prepare evidence for action
• Collaborate with other offices to exchange information and coordinate activities
• Prepare investigative reports and deficiencies corrections orders (DCO); provide recommendations to leadership
• Maintain records, attend meetings, and prepare correspondence
• Recommend policy/procedure changes and provide information to management
• Demonstrate understanding of general report writing and apply investigative techniques to obtain information
• Operate a motor vehicle and use basic computer tools for documentation and data management
