Cardiothoracic Surgeon Opportunity

AdventHealth Medical Group in Kansas City is offering an excellent opportunity for a dynamic, experienced cardiothoracic surgeon to join our established team at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, a 500+ bed facility. AdventHealth in Kansas City is a leading, faith-based, not-for-profit health system with four hospitals in the greater Kansas City area. The new CT surgeon will be able to perform a variety of cases including coronary bypass, valvular repair/replacement, catheter-based structural heart procedures and general thoracic cases working alongside a multidisciplinary and growing team of seven general cardiologists, five interventionalists, and two electrophysiologists. The team has a large compliment of cardiovascular APPs, including a CTS PA model facilitating cardiovascular care. ICU care is also enhanced by our dedicated critical care intensivists team.

Requirements of the position:

• At least five years of experience post training
• Qualification for Kansas state license
• Diplomate of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• "Team player" mentality
• Strong medical decision-making skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
