Salary & Benefits £45,000 - £50,000 basic salary Flexible Monday-Friday working hours Saturday rota on a fair rotation Permanent, full-time position Free on-site parking Free mechanical work on your own vehicles Ongoing technical training and development Career progression opportunities Friendly, family-run independent garage Relaxed working environment with supportive management Modern workshop with up-to-date diagnostic equipment Stable long-term employment The Role As a Vehicle Technician / Motor Vehicle Technician , you will: Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using modern diagnostic equipment Complete vehicle inspections and health checks Carry out MOT preparation and repair work Work on cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship Ensure accurate completion of job cards and workshop documentation Support a clean, safe and professional workshop environment About You To be successful, you'll ideally have: Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician , Motor Vehicle Technician , Automotive Technician , Diagnostic Technician , Service Technician , or Car Mechanic Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Good mechanical and electrical knowledge Experience working on modern vehicle systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent preferred) Full UK driving licence Ideal Background We welcome applications from experienced: Vehicle Technician Motor Vehicle Technician Automotive Technician Diagnostic Technician Service Technician Car Mechanic Master Technician Senior Vehicle Technician LCV Technician Experience gained in dealerships, independent garages, specialist workshops, fleet maintenance, or fast-fit centres will all be considered.
