Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Travel) Contract Position

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 5x8 hours (07:00 - 15:00) with on-call requirements of 1-2 weekdays and 1-2 weekends per month.

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room, primarily focusing on orthopedic, general, gynecological, and podiatry procedures. The role involves preparing patients for surgery, monitoring their condition during and after procedures, and ensuring a sterile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor vital signs.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and care quality.
• Maintain a sterile and safe operating environment.
• Educate patients and their families on postoperative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
• Valid RN license with compact licensure required at submission.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Knowledge and skills in the following areas: ambulatory OR, various surgical procedures (e.g., ACL reconstruction, laparoscopic procedures, C-sections, etc.).
