Lab Technician

Position Overview

Location: Austin, TX 78744

We are seeking a detail-oriented Lab Technician to support laboratory operations, product testing, and research activities. This role is responsible for preparing samples, performing tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and accurately documenting results. The Lab Technician will work closely with engineers, scientists, and quality teams to ensure testing procedures meet company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and label samples for laboratory testing and analysis
• Conduct routine laboratory tests following established protocols
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
• Record test results and maintain accurate laboratory documentation
• Assist with research and product development testing activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
• Follow safety procedures and compliance guidelines
• Support data collection and report findings to supervisors or engineers
• Monitor inventory of laboratory supplies and materials

Qualifications

• Soldering experience preferred
• 1+ years of laboratory experience (internship or academic lab experience acceptable)
• Knowledge of lab safety protocols and testing procedures
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Ability to follow technical instructions and test protocols
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry or lab software

Preferred Skills

• Experience with analytical equipment or testing instruments such as calipers
• Knowledge of quality control or product testing procedures
• Familiarity with R&D or manufacturing laboratory environments

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs occasionally
• Ability to handle chemicals or laboratory materials safely
