Position Summary

Fortuna Bakery is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team in Lake Mary. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items according to established recipes, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in preparing high-quality food, and works well as part of a team.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, cook, and assemble ingredients for a variety of menu items
• Follow recipes and portion standards to ensure consistency and quality
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area
• Organize and monitor kitchen inventory
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
• Work efficiently with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar cook or line cook position
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Knowledge of kitchen best practices, including safe knife handling and cooking methods
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform well under pressure
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods during shifts

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• ServSafe Certification

Compensation: $16.00 per hour
