This position plays a vital role in maintaining medical records for the inmate population housed at RCC, and making the records accessible to nurses within the Medical Department. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound judgement, and can excel in a fast-paced environment where each day is different.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Sorts filing material numerically and files in the inmate medical records.
- May coordinate with the Warden's Office regarding all legal matters concerning inmate medical records and information pertaining to the Medical Department requested by attorneys.
- Assures timely copying, certification and submission of requested documentation.
- Employee in a Correctional Center will be expected to work closely with inmates as part of regular duties.
Appointment Type: JOB APPOINTMENT
- A job appointment is a temporary job lasting up to four years; however, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.
- This position may also be filled as a probational appointment if a non-temporary position becomes available in the recruitment process.
- If filled by probation, a permanent classified LA State employee, if selected, may be required to accept a probational appointment.
