Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with physician orders.
• Implement and document treatment protocols, monitoring patients' progress and adapting the treatment as required to ensure the best outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including evaluations, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to optimize patient care.
• Supervise and guide the daily activities of physical therapy assistants (PTAs) and other support staff, ensuring they deliver patient care effectively.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of practices within the rehabilitation center.
• Engage with patients to motivate them throughout their recovery, setting achievable goals and providing ongoing encouragement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills to manage patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred, providing a foundational understanding of rehabilitation practices.

Compensation and Benefits
