Commissioning Engineer

A New Jersey-based professional services organization is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning activities for mission-critical facilities, with a focus on mechanical, plumbing, fire alarm, suppression, and related controls systems.
About the Opportunity:- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: On-site
- Commission mechanical, plumbing, fire alarm, suppression, and related controls equipment in mission-critical environments
- Review system designs and provide input to align with facility goals and commissioning requirements
- Support the development of commissioning plans, procedures, schedules, and project documentation
- Perform and document factory testing, functional testing, field observations, and system performance results
- Coordinate with project teams, respond to client inquiries, and provide technical recommendations on issues
- 2+ years of Mission-Critical Project experience
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with mission-critical facility commissioning
- Professional Engineer license or commissioning certification
- Control and programming experience
- Knowledge of ASHRAE or BCxA commissioning guidelines
- Working knowledge of building management systems and/or electrical power monitoring systems
