Traditional Labor Law Associate

Overview A law firm seeks a Traditional Labor Law Associate for its Riverside, CA office. This role involves representing employers in traditional labor matters and providing advice on federal and California workplace laws. The position offers a hybrid work environment and requires a proactive approach to labor relations and compliance. Responsibilities Represent employers in unfair labor practice charges at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Conduct research and draft legal documents. Advise on union organizing, corporate campaigns, and neutrality agreements. Negotiate and advise on collective bargaining agreements. Handle grievance, arbitration, and unfair labor practice proceedings. Obtain mass picketing injunctions. Advise on wage and hour issues, leave management, and disability accommodations. Review handbooks, policies, and forms for legal compliance. Review compensation, commission, and bonus plans. Conduct management training on labor relations and workplace issues. Requirements JD from an ABA-accredited law school. 4-6 years of experience in litigation or advisory roles. Traditional labor experience preferred. Experience in federal and/or California advice and counsel work preferred. CA Bar Admission required. Understanding of current state and federal agency enforcement techniques preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the California Bar. Skills Excellent attention to detail. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
