Job Title: Production Lead - weekend shift, 3/12's schedule, 4th shift from 4:00AM-4:30PM and 5th shift from 4:00PM-4:30AM

Production Lead - overnight shift, 4/10's schedule, 3rd shift from 6:00 PM-4:30 AM

Summary

Oversee management of all areas of Production so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.

This is a full-time position with an alternative 3/12's schedule with 2 shifts available OR a 4/10's schedule with a overnight shift available. 3rd shift from 6:00 PM-4:30 AM, 4th shift from 4:00AM-4:30PM and 5th shift from 4:00PM-4:30AM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct and manage staff members in support of production plans. Mondays and Fridays will overlap and interface with senior management. Saturdays and Sundays will entail supervision of the weekend staff on both shifts.
• Implement the production plan and assist in establishing procedures for maintaining high standards of operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.
• Identify and recommend changes to improve productivity, reduce cost, and monitor scrap and rework data.
• Leadership tasks to include time card management, incident reporting, employee evaluations, and other employee-related documentation as required.
• Works in conjunction with other departments to maintain and communicate safety, quality, scheduling, productivity, and training requirements on the shop floor. Direct and coordinate various programs essential to procedures (e.g., training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, worker involvement, security, etc.).
• Monitor and evaluate team members and adjust training where needed.
• This position may require flexibility in schedule at times for training and coverage purposes.
• Perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a process-oriented operations and/or related industry.

Language Skills

Must speak, read, write, and understand English. Spanish ability is a plus.

• Frequently standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Frequent assisted lifting of 50 lbs. or more
• Operate forklift and other heavy machinery

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those Production Managers encounter while performing the essential functions of the job: The incumbent will be required to wear the corresponding Personal Protective Equipment while on the production floor.
