Facilities Manager (Contract title: Site Operations Manager)

Job Title: Site Operations Manager (Atlanta, GA) Job Overview Amentum is seeking an experienced Site Operations Manager to lead our operations and maintenance team. Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of technicians and professionals in facility maintenance activities and projects. Develop and administer a predictive, reliability‑centered maintenance program. Supervise tasks related to hard and soft services, safety, building automation, and maintenance projects. Utilize Maximo to schedule work and evaluate staff productivity. Analyze and troubleshoot complex building utility systems and equipment, recommending corrective actions. Provide oversight of the building automation system, adjusting, tracking, and trending building conditions. Mentor staff, improve technician knowledge and certification. Drive safety processes and implement safety best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, facility management, industrial technology, or related technical field, or equivalent education and experience. Eight years of industrial facilities maintenance experience (minimum; education can reduce required years). At least 5 years of facility operations/maintenance supervisory experience in a technical field. Knowledge of purchasing, subcontracting, and vendor management. Experience with CMMS (e.g., Maximo) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint). Staff‑management experience, including disciplinary action, hiring, performance appraisals, and termination. Valid driver’s license. No requirement for sponsorship; candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications Certification or formal training from facility maintenance organizations such as IFMA, AFE, or BOMA. Experience in GMP or similar regulated environments. Proactive problem‑identification, analysis, and mitigation skills. Predictive maintenance experience (IR scanning, ultrasonic, vibration, oil analysis, life‑cycle studies, incident reports, root‑cause analysis). Vibration analysis training and certification. Budget management experience. Contract negotiation experience. Experience in new business start‑ups. Compensation Base salary: $85,000 per year.
