Facilities Manager I

Job Title: Facilities Manager I Location: Atlanta, Georgia Employment Type: Regular, Full-Time Job ID: 299491 Job Summary Facilitate and coordinate building operations within an assigned facility. Includes coordination of building maintenance and repairs, office moves, delivery and installation of furniture and equipment, building access control and deliveries. The position will interact consistently with building occupants and visitors, department heads, contractors and vendors. It typically advises and counsels contractors, vendors and visitors. It does not supervise staff. Responsibilities Manage building maintenance functions (both routine and emergency); ensure activities are carried out in a complete and timely manner. Arrange for office moves within facility; ensure they are carried out as scheduled. Coordinate delivery and installation of building equipment. Maintain building access control system including card entry and office key management. Facilitate arrangements of special events scheduled for facility. Order building repair services as needed. Coordinate outside vendor/contractor services. Coordinate annual equipment inventory and maintain related records. Manage and update emergency preparedness plan for facility and all related documents and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements: High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma. Other Required Qualifications: Valid Georgia Driver's License. Work involves adherence to applicable safety precautions. Requires lifting objects up to 25 pounds and standing for extended periods of time. Required Experience: Three to five years job related experience. Preferred Qualifications Landlord/property management experience who is also comfortable working within lab environments. Experience with wet labs and research equipment. Skills Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: This job requires skills in organization, communications, staging operations, general building maintenance processes and scheduling.
