Supervisor I, California Education Interagency Council

Under the general direction of the Executive Director of the California Education Interagency Council (CEIC), the Supervisor I plans, organizes, and oversees the daily operations and activities of the professional staff within CEIC. Provides clear direction and support to staff in the analyticalevaluation of administrative, fiscal, and programmatic operations. Responsible for recruitment, training, coaching, assigning work, establishing priorities, monitoring performance reviews, and ensuring alignment with program objectives and timelines. Foster staff development through individualized coaching, the use of Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and identification of training opportunities. Establish clear performance expectations, conduct probationary and annual performance reviews, and address personnel matters in accordance with applicable bargaining unit agreements, CalHR policies, and State of California personnel laws and regulations. Provide leadership over administrative and fiscal functions, ensuring that all CEIC-related activities are conducted in compliance with departmental policies and applicable state and federal regulations. Working Conditions This position may be eligible for a telework opportunity in accordance with departmental policies and operational needs. Employees are currently required to work in-person at least two (2) days per week. Beginning July 1, 2026, employees will be required to work in-person at least four (4) days per week in alignment with Executive Order N-22-25.
