The department website is Job Description And Duties Under general direction of the Assistant Chief Counsel within the Circular Economy and Regulations Development Section and the general direction of the Chief Counsel within the Legal Affairs Office, the Attorney Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of a group of attorneys within the Circular Economy and Regulations Development Section. The Attorney Supervisor may personally perform the most difficult and complex legal work within the Section. Some duties will require in-person presence. Beginning July 1, 2026, CalRecycle staff will be office‑centered, requiring employees to report to the office at least four days per week. This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under Government Code 14200, subject to eligibility criteria set forth in the CalEPA telework policy or future program needs. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the designated headquarters location at their own expense.
