Growing manufacturing client is looking for a Technical Sales & Design Representative . This is a key technical resource who bridges the gap between customers, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Operations. This person will use their technical and product knowledge to understand customer needs, develop accurate solutions, and ensure a seamless experience from initial inquiry through project execution.
This is a hands-on, cross-functional role ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical problem-solving with customer interaction. The representative will help translate customer requirements into product configurations, technical specifications, drawings/documentation, and other materials needed to support successful projects.
The role will also play an important part in improving internal processes, developing technical resources, maintaining product documentation, and identifying opportunities to make the sales and design process more efficient. What You’ll Do

- Serve as a technical point of contact for customers, helping interpret requirements, specifications, system integration needs, and product applications.
- Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Operations to develop accurate and practical product solutions.
- Translate customer requirements into technical designs, product configurations, specifications, and supporting documentation .
- Build strong, professional relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support long-term project success.
- Respond to customer questions and requests for information with timely, accurate, and technically sound solutions .
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges while documenting solutions and best practices for future use.
- Develop and maintain technical content, samples, documentation, verification records, and other resources that support both customers and internal teams.
- Maintain the FileHold database , ensuring technical documentation is organized, accurate, current, and easy to access.
- Manage and maintain master part folders , both physical and digital, ensuring revisions are properly documented and version-controlled.
- Identify opportunities to improve tools, workflows, documentation, and processes that can increase efficiency and accelerate the sales cycle.
- Leverage data and technical findings to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making across the organization.
- Represent the company with professionalism, strong communication, and a customer-first, team-oriented mindset .
- 2–4 years of experience in technical sales, engineering support, manufacturing design, product design, or a related technical environment preferred.
- Previous experience with product or manufacturing design is highly desirable.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex requirements and develop practical solutions .
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a natural curiosity for understanding how products and systems work.
- Highly organized with strong prioritization, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working across multiple departments and managing several priorities at once.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office ; experience with additional technical/design software is a plus.
- Professional, polished, and confident when working with customers and internal teams.
- Positive, approachable, and customer-focused personality.
- Collaborative team player who takes ownership, follows through, and contributes positively to the overall company culture.
