Accounting Manager

Our client is seeking a hands on/working Accounting Manager to lead key processes, strengthen controls and more.
You will earn a competitive salary of up to $120,000 per year, based on your experience, plus you will enjoy a generous company benefits package.
Some of your key responsibilities as the Accounting Manager will include oversee financial reporting. In addition, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and overseeing core accounting processes
- Approving daily transactions
- Providing financial analysis across all companies to support leadership decision-making
- Providing oversight to ensure accuracy, compliance with GAAP and Statutory accounting standards
- Leading budget development, forecasting, and three-year financial planning processes
- Cost allocation methodologies
- Overseeing timely and accurate preparation and review of required financial reporting
- Coordinating preparation and support of financial audits
- Coordinating budgets and audits (1099)
- Providing people leadership through coaching, development, and performance management
- Other duties as assigned
To qualify for the Accounting Manager position, you must have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- Insurance industry a plus
- Five years’ related experience in accounting, including financial reporting, general accounting and budgeting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to share financials story
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Leadership and people management experience with ability to motivate the team
