Job Title: Assembler Job Description
This role focuses on electro-mechanical assembly of complete operating systems, including wiring PLCs, installing control panels, and integrating instrumentation and controls equipment. You will work from schematics and simple blueprints to assemble, wire, and test units using a variety of hand and power tools. Training is available, making this a strong opportunity for someone with hands-on electrical or mechanical experience who wants to grow in a structured manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical systems, including testing units, brackets, sub-assemblies, and control panels according to schematics and simple blueprints.
• Wire PLCs and control panels, ensuring proper routing and termination of wires and cables.
• Install instrumentation and controls equipment into a complete operating system following established procedures and diagrams.
• Run wires and install panels, switches, outlets, and other electrical components as part of system builds.
• Use drills, saws, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and other basic hand and power tools safely and effectively during assembly tasks.
• Interpret and work from electrical schematics and basic blueprints to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies.
• Perform both mechanical and electrical assembly tasks, including mounting components and securing hardware.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following facility safety and housekeeping standards.
• Support production deadlines by working overtime when needed to help complete systems on schedule.
• Collaborate with team members and follow training and guidance to continuously improve assembly quality and efficiency.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical assembly, including working with both mechanical and electrical components.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and simple blueprints for assembly and wiring tasks.
• Proficiency using basic hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, wire cutters, wire crimpers, and hammers.
• Comfort using power tools such as drills and saws in a manufacturing environment.
• Capability to run wires and install electrical components including panels, switches, and outlets.
• Ownership and daily use of personal hand tools, including adjustable wrench (6\" or 8\"), box wrench set (3/8\"3/4\"), screwdriver set (Phillips and flat), channel locks, wire strippers (1020 AWG), wire cutters, wire crimpers, needle-nose pliers, ratchet and socket set, nut driver set, and hammer.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow written and visual instructions accurately.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment in a manufacturing setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial electrical work is a plus.
• Ability to bend up to 1-inch EMT conduit is preferred but not required.
• Prior experience with mechanical assembly and electrical assembly in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with wiring practices and basic electrical principles.
• Comfort working in a smaller, organized manufacturing facility with production deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and take advantage of available training to expand skills in PLC wiring and control systems.

Work Environment
This position is based in a nice, smaller, clean, and organized manufacturing facility focused on assembling complete systems. The standard schedule is first shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime opportunities when project deadlines approach. You will work with a variety of hand and power tools in a production setting that emphasizes safety and cleanliness. The dress code is casual, typically jeans and a t-shirt, suitable for hands-on assembly work.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hatfield, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
