Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team in New Braunfels, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and bid proposals for projects. You will analyze project specifications, conduct site assessments, and research material and labor costs to provide clients and project managers with comprehensive and competitive estimates. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects based on specifications, blueprints, and scope of work
• Analyze project requirements and conduct site assessments to gather necessary information for estimation
• Research and compile current material, labor, and equipment costs from various suppliers and vendors
• Develop comprehensive bid proposals and presentations for clients and stakeholders
• Review contracts and project documentation to ensure accurate scope interpretation
• Maintain organized estimation databases and records for future reference and analysis
• Communicate with clients, project managers, and engineering teams to clarify project details and requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure estimates align with company capabilities and standards
• Monitor industry trends and cost fluctuations to maintain competitive and accurate estimates
• Prepare reports and documentation to support estimation decisions and project planning

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional experience in estimation, project management, or related field
• Proficiency with estimation software and tools relevant to the industry
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Problem-solving skills and ability to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
• Preferred: Experience with CAD software or other design tools
• Preferred: Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies
• Preferred: Negotiation and vendor management experience
• Preferred: Relevant industry certifications or training in estimation practices
