Description of Work This position oversees maintenance operations that support the safe and efficient functioning of SCI Laurel Highlands. As a Corrections Facility Maintenance Manager 1, you will perform the following duties: Staff Supervision: Manage, guide, and evaluate the work of maintenance staff Project Oversight: Coordinate maintenance, repair, and renovation work across the facility Safety Compliance: Inspect work to ensure adherence to safety rules and technical standards Inventory Control: Maintain supplies and equipment needed for facility projects Contractor Monitoring: Review contractor work to verify compliance with project specifications Administrative Tasks: Prepare documents, review policies, and support hiring and training activities Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40-hour work week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55 Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $56,020.00 (before taxes) You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices Required Experience, Training & Eligibility Qualifications: Two years of experience as a Building Maintenance Foreman, Utility Plant Supervisor, or Corrections Tradesman Instructor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) with a specialty in one of the trades of Carpentry, Electrical, Refrigeration, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, Machinist, Welding, Painting, Automotive, Electronics, or Masonry; or Six years of experience in the construction, maintenance or repair of buildings; or the operation, maintenance and repair of utility services equipment, including two years in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
